Welcome to the new season, a season of changes because Top Eleven 2016 will be released in just few days. Be ready!
If you logged these days in Top Eleven is impossible not to notice the announces from the game regarding the Top Eleven 2016 version.
Starting with 11 February the game will have a new interface for the desktop version and more exactly the game will same with the mobile version, with few small changes on the navigation icons.
It’s gonna be a big change especially for those who never tried the mobile version because there are also few tricky icons, pages, etc.
Before we start I want to inform you regarding something pretty much important. The game won’t run on flash player anymore and from now on the game will run on Unity.
Unity is a game engine which can provide better high quality games so this is one of the reasons they decided to change the platform but in exchange Unity is asking for more resources from the device and because of this the loading time it will be bigger then at the moment. First time when you open Top Eleven in your current browser session it can take from 30 seconds if you have a very good device up to 2,3 minutes at the worst if you are still using a slow device.
This might not be the best news to start with but we wanted to inform you from the start and remember that this was the only way to keep both mobile and desktop versions to run always the same features and in exchange a plus is just what we said before, from now on both platforms mobile and desktop will have same features and updates at the same time.
Regarding the design part I suppose is impossible to please everyone because many are still attached to the current desktop version but again this is a must because the design different between the platforms was huge and it gave the impression that is not the same game.
Few weeks ago I had the chance to play the new version and also to test it and I can say it was really cool but not everything was perfect so I hope they fixed some minor stuffs.
In big lines, this is how the new desktop version of Top Eleven will look:
As you can see it’s a big change and the first thing you can notice is the navigation bar which is not in the same place anymore. Now the navigation page will be on the left side, same like on mobile but the difference is that on desktop the navigation bar will always be there, not only the current tab like it’s on mobile.
On the opposite part we will have now the friend list with a cool new feature for desktop and more exactly the searching option which can make it much easier for you when you are searching for somebody.
The home page in general came with new stuffs like details about next match and previous match and also the messages page will be displayed in few sub-pages in the middle of the page.
If on the mobile version you have to swipe to the left or right to go between pages here is a bit different because that dots from the middle will be replaced.
You will have some new small icons that will help you because it will be way easier to click on them, then to click on that small dots.
Also by looking at the icons you can make an idea from before about what they represent.
A cool thing is that now you can see all the players details just by looking at him in the squad screen because now everything is visually displayed: stars, condition, moral, arrow, name, etc.
A tricky icon is for the orders which is located in the right-bottom corner.
If you are not familiar with the mobile version of Top Eleven this might be annoying for you at the start but don’t worry because in time you will get used and it won’t be to so annoying after a while.
We will also have some visual changes for the arrows and also moral arrows which is something brand new for the desktop version.
Arrows won’t be displayed anymore with blue and red and in exchange they will be displayed black. Why black? Well I assume because the colors fits better and the arrows are much bigger now. Making them colored isn’t a great idea and here I agree with them but the down arrow which set the player to play more offensive isn’t so great displayed and is also hard to notice it.
Moral arrows are the small arrows from the right side of the players and just by looking at them you can make much easier an idea about their moral.
Anyway if you want to find a more difference between the current desktop version and the next version you can take a look at this post: Desktop vs Mobile
To go back on the subject, I guess the biggest wins for the desktop version are the Live Animated Match which everyone wanted for a very long period of time now and the new training feature which also wouldn’t be possible on the current desktop version but regarding the new training feature we will talk more in a future article.
Don’t worry about your team when you will do the update because only the interface will change, everything you have in your club: players, tokens, boosters, jerseys & emblems, etc will remain same.
Next week or in the following weeks I will also try to make a video tutorial where I can explain you even better all the new things inside the new version of Top Eleven.
If you are asking for a date, I’m not 100% sure but according with their notifications from their social media pages, I expect to be on 11 February. You got it? Top 11 – 11 February?
